Meet Our Founder
At the age of 26, Steve faced a harrowing 67-day battle with meningitis at Baptist Hospital in downtown Jacksonville. This condition escalated into encephalitis, accompanied by a staggering 104.5-degree brain temperature for 45 days. Medical professionals initially delivered a grim prognosis, predicting that Steve would never leave the hospital. Against the odds, he eventually gained enough strength to leave, shedding 66lbs but was informed that he would be confined to a wheelchair for life. Undeterred, Steve dedicated the following years to defying this prognosis and learning to walk again, firmly believing in the limitless potential of the human spirit.
Despite overcoming this immense challenge, Steve's journey continued. Over the past several years, he immersed himself in a comprehensive understanding of health and fitness. Now, equipped with knowledge and experience, he is poised to guide and assist others on their own transformative journeys.
After relearning to walk, Steve spent nearly two decades indulging in a carefree lifestyle of drinking and partying. However, on his 47th birthday, he had a transformative realization: it was time to prioritize his health to ensure a vibrant future. Setting a bold 3-year goal to be "IN Shape At 50," Steve is now committed to sharing his insights and helping others embark on their own paths to wellness.
